Anyway, before I ramble for hours about ghosts, when the only hotel room available for this past weekend was Little Victoria's room in Ramsgate, where Princess Victoria recovered from an illness, I was instantly worried we'd be mini-mooning with Princess V. But don't you worry, Ross asked the hotel before we booked if the room was haunted {he should get the best husband award for that ;)}; needless to say, they reassured us, no and then I'm sure gossiped about us {Who are those weird Americans?}.
Well, they were right! At least I didn't experience any hauntings this weekend. What I did experience was a relaxing, little, English beach town on the Southeast coast with my husband {hehe never gets old ;)} and our little pup. I felt as if I was in a charming, French village {Calais, France isn't that far from Ramsgate, so I wasn't too far off}, and it was the perfect getaway from a busy city.
Ramsgate is one of the few towns that make up the Isle of Thanet and is only two hours away, by train, from the hustle and bustle of London. Enjoy the pictures below of our first day of our mini-moon. There's more to come, as we explored a couple of other cities along the coast :).
