I've learned quickly that markets are the new grocery stores in Europe. So, of course, I just had to try a market in Paris. Ross researched the closest market to Canal Saint-Martin, which happened to be the Bastille Market {aka Marche Bastille}. Here, in this beautifully, clean + lively {people happily chatting away, music playing, the sun shining} marche, we picked up some true Parisian foods to eat for our picnic in the park. Taking it back to my cheer coaching days... Before we made our way to The Louvre Gardens to picnic, we stopped for a photo op by the Seine and The Louvre {pictured above + below}. Don't judge me: 1) Ross made me pose this way and 2) It's my birthday. I can do what I want, right? I'm sure you're thinking, "How old are you? 30 or 3?" #nevergrowingup Finally, we made it to the gardens to eat + relax + enjoy a celebratory vino {with our friend Julius Caesar, statue pictured above}. I'll tell ya what, I could really get used to this European way ;). Happy birthday to me!
