5. Sarnie {my favorite word!}: Sandwich, as in "I would like a breakfast sarnie with egg and cheese, please."
6. Aubergine: Eggplant, as in "My favorite Italian, vegetarian dish is aubergine parmesan."
7. Quid: Slang for pound, like buck is the slang for dollar, as in "The concert tickets are 50 quid!"
8. Jumper: Sweater, as in "My grandma gave me a green jumper to wear on chilly, winter days."
9. Alight: Exit or step off, as in "Please alight here to see Westminster Abbey."
10. Supply work: Substitute teaching, as in "As a former, American teacher, I am looking for supply work to learn about England's school system."
