The Emirates Air Line is part of London's public transportation system as it takes people to and from Greenwich on the Oyster card {contactless travel card}, with views of The City {the borough} and the east side of London in between. And while it may bring on a queasy stomach {I mean, you are suspended above the Thames by a cable line only and you are higher than the Tower Bridge...}, it was a unique, worthwhile experience to view London from a different perspective.
July's date brought us past the Canary Wharf area, a spot in London that we don't typically explore. Unlike the west part of London, the east is filled with new, shiny, glass buildings. So when I found a cable car ride, where we could get views of this part of the city, I was excited to go exploring! And while it may bring on a queasy stomach {I mean, you are suspended above the Thames by a cable line only and you are higher than the Tower Bridge...}, it was a unique, worthwhile experience to view London from a different perspective. Shiny, new building, next to a man-made beach {with sand!}. The cable car ride started here. Please note the difference in the sky above + below. This is London weather, friends. Turns in an instant and you can experience all four seasons in one day {insert eye roll}.
