Truth #2: I didn't like coffee or tea all that much at home, and instead used to drink water like it was my job out of Bubba.
Truth #3: I still don't like coffee or tea that much {except when doused with sugar + milk} and I miss my Bubba, who was taken hostage by our movers and won't be reunited with me until the end of March.
Truth #4: I drink coffee or tea because it looks sophisticated {something out of a "this is what a happy-and-successful-grown-up-looks-like" book cover}. I'm also secretly worried it's rotting my teeth, so I need to ask my mom to ship me my teeth whitener from home.
Because of all these confessions, I like to find independent coffee or tea shops that are quintessential England. So when another blogger, fellow expat, and {somewhat} London newbie asked me to join her for some tea at Candella Tea Room, I instantly jumped at the chance to discover a new, hidden gem.
Candella Tea Room reminds me of being in a grandmother's house {I say A instead of MY because I don't recall my grandma ever having this much clutter!}, because it is filled with hundreds of tea cups and tea pots. It seemed as if every space was covered with a floral-patterened mug or pot. While the owner may have a hoarding problem {who doesn't! I like to hoard office supplies...}, the little shop is peaceful + charming. It's the perfect spot to meet a new friend and/or take visitors!
