When I studied in Florence as a college student I had the mentality, "I'm going to do this {go see this attraction, go to Capri when I'm running out of money, take this picture, buy this outrageously priced leather bag...} because I may never have the opportunity to come back." And here I am, 10+ years later with the ability to buy an absurdly cheap flight {£40-75 round trip!} to hop on a plane and be in Italy in under two hours. Multiple times!
And every time we go to Italy, every city, every encounter, every bite of food, every sip of wine, every Italian we speak to, we fall more in love with Italy. Turin is no exception.
A quiet town with views of the mountains in the background and only an hour-ish drive to France, Turin was a perfect 24-hour pitstop on our way to our final destination: Chamonix, France.
The best part of Italy is that we enjoy roaming around and blending in {as much as two Americans can} with the culture and people. Like most Italian cities we've been to, we went to Turin without an agenda but to just be and pause and relax {ok and eat pizza, pasta, and gelato ;)}, which is exactly what we did in this peaceful, little city. And as always, we loved every moment and found beauty almost everywhere we looked.
