Because of the pollution in London, along with the constant hustle + noise, it is nice to escape + have a quiet, pollutant-free city break, which is why a couple weekends ago we decided to go to The Cotswolds.
Prior to going, I had heard of the magic + charm this little countryside has to offer. And quaint + charming, it is indeed. Sheep roam the endless green grass, yellow brick give the cottages character, and the peaceful walking trails are tranquil
+ scenic.
While I wouldn't say it's any different than any another English countryside {I do feel they all start to look alike...}, we went to the most quintessential English pub that made the quick day trip worth it. With a warm fireplace, colorful pumpkins to remind you of fall {err autumn, according to the Brit-Brits}, and a large outdoor seating area, The Wild Rabbit is perfect for a crisp, fall day to enjoy the changing seasons, relax, and breathe in that fresh, country air {ahhh!}. And though I would like to go back and see more of the village itself, I'd also be content sitting in this pub and staying the night {Yes! They have rooms, like a hotel, to reserve for a staycation!}.
