Anyway, Ross and I celebrated the Chinese New Year by, of course, going to China Town, which is right off the Leicester Square tube stop {Lester is how they pronounce it}. It's in the heart of all the tourists' shopping attractions: Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus, and Covent Garden, so it was bustling with people from all over the world.
Happy belated Chinese New Year folks! This year is supposedly the year of the goat/sheep. I hear them used interchangeably, and from the several articles I've read, I've come to the conclusion that it's the year of both the goat + sheep. Best part about China Town to me? The colorful + bright lanterns that made me forget about the rainy + chilly weather. Best part about China Town to Ross? Enjoying some Xiao Long Bao {Sh-Ow!-Long-Bow} and getting me to try these soup dumplings, although he claims Chicago's China Town has better ones {I don't know if I'll try these again, though, no matter which China Town I'm visiting...}. I have to give this restaurant credit, though. Despite its expected poor service, I really appreciated the step-by-step guide to eating the dumplings {can you tell I'm a teacher?}. May the year of the goat/ sheep be ever in your favor. Err...something like that. Cheers!
